About Julie P. Hauser - Owner
I was born in the Pacific Northwest in the suburbs of Seattle. I spent my time in the outdoors and gardening with my father. While enjoying a career as an outdoor professional living in Leavenworth Washington, I became interested in wild flowers so I decided to learn as much as I could about them. I loved it so much that I decided to go back to school and study Horticulture. I received my Certificate of Horticulture, then decided to study Landscape Design and received a second Certificate.
After school I went to work for a Landscape Design, installation and maintenance company. I was there for five and a half years when I decided I needed a change. I had spent some time in Buena Vista Colorado the summer of 1998 and I decided it was time to go back to Colorado.
I was offered a job with a Landscape firm here in Boulder and worked there for a little over a year. Not feeling satisfied, I left the company and decided to start my own design firm, so indigo landscape design was born January 2008.
My hope is to create amazing outdoor spaces for home owners that they REALLY love and want to spend time in. My philosophy is, It's my job to create an outdoor environment that reflects and reveals the personality, style and values of the homeowner.
